I have a msi gaming pc and it works perfectly fine at highest settings at metro 2033. but when I start it and the opnening video or right before you get to the startmenu goes fine until it just crashes and turns off my pc. but I bought metro redux last light like a day or go. I have also reinstalled the game twice on both my hard drive and ssd. so, I bought metro redux 2033 a few mnonth ago and I had no problems. I can't even get to the menu to change it though. All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries. I had it on at first even though I have an AMD gpu(5700xt red devil) bc I didn't know it was an nvida thing at first. I've heard from other people that having Physx on is what was causing issues for them. I ran exodus, gears 4 & 5, final fantasy 14, 3DMark, unigine heaven and valley all at max settings with no issues whatsoever but metro last light redux crashes on startup. And now I literally cannot even get to the loading scene of the game, let alone even the main menu before it just freezes and I have to restart my computer.

I downloaded DDu and did a clean install of the latest version of my gpu drivers, Aswell as my chipset drivers. Made it like 3/4 through the game and I decided I was gonna work out why its crashing and fix it. After I beat it I moved to last light and same story. Started with 2033 and I could play for an hour or a couple hours at a time before it would crash the computer to to my desktop and I had to restart the game. I am pretty much new to pc gaming, but my first pc less than a month ago and recently started playing the metro games through Xbox game pass on my pc.
